PCCM Faculty and Fellow Honored at 2025-2026 Internal Medicine Residency Program Awards
The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is pleased to announce that three members of the Division were recognized at the John T. Milliken Department of Medicine’s 2025-2026 Internal Medicine Residency Program Awards.
Alex Hartlage, MD, PhD, a critical care medicine fellow, was named a Teaching Fellow of the Year. Stephen Chi, MD and Dan Reynolds, MD were both named Teacher of the Year in Pulmonary and Critical Care. Having two faculty members from the same division earn that recognition in the same year is a notable achievement. All three awards are selected by the internal medicine residents they teach, making them a meaningful reflection of the day-to-day impact our faculty and fellows have in the residency program.
Education has always been a core part of the Division’s mission. Our faculty and fellows rotate through the wards, clinics, and intensive care units at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, contributing significantly to the training of internal medicine residents across a range of clinical settings. These awards are a reminder of how much that work is valued by the residents on the receiving end of it.
Congratulations to Drs. Hartlage, Chi, and Reynolds on this recognition. You can see all of the IM awardees here.
