In Missouri, more than 900,000 adults and children are living with asthma, COPD or some other form of chronic respiratory disease. When under-treated or under-diagnosed, these diseases can limit a person’s quality of life and impact not only the individual, but his or her family. The Airways Clinical Research Unit (ACRU) focuses on conducting research to advance treatment options for individuals affected with Asthma or COPD.
