Research Interests
Dr. Aguilar’s clinical interests include caring for patients with acute and chronic respiratory failure as well as lung transplant recipients. He has a particular interest in the use of extracorporeal life support in these contexts. Additionally, he is tasked with developing a clinical program for the longitudinal care of survivors of critical illness. His academic interests include studying short and long term functional, sociological and biological outcomes of acute respiratory failure.
