Andrew Michelson, MD, WU Pulmonary and Critical Care fellow, was recently awarded a travel stipend to attend the June 1 “Un-Meeting: Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Applications in Translational Science” by the Center for Leading Innovation and Collaboration (CLIC) at the University of Rochester Medical Center. CLIC, which serves as the coordinating center for the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), hosted the meeting and provided for one travel stipend award for each CTSA program hub.
Over 95 researchers, academic faculty, informaticians and clinicians from across the country attended the day-long event, representing 45 CTSA program hubs in 27 states. “This was a unique opportunity to collaborate with several other institutions and a professionally diverse group of participants,” commented Michelson. “I’m so pleased I had this opportunity and look forward to potential future collaborations with my fellow participants.”
