Research Interests
Dr. Case’s interests include pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease. He will serve as investigator for research trials in pulmonary arterial hypertension. During fellowship, Dr. Case developed a registry of patients who follow in the Washington University Interstitial Lung Disease clinic. This continues to add critical data to ILD research. Additionally, he is particularly interested in clinical care of patients with advanced lung disease and associated group III pulmonary hypertension and in the treatment of patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with toxin-exposure. His clinical role includes the management of patients with acute pulmonary embolism as a member of the PERT committee, as well as management of patients with chronic embolic disease and pulmonary hypertension through a multidisciplinary committee involving surgical and procedural teams.
