Areas of Clinical Interest:

Interstitial lung diseases, rare lung diseases, cystic lung diseases,. Dr. Shifren heads a multidisciplinary team that includes pulmonologists, rheumatologists, chest radiologists, lung pathologists and thoracic surgeons specializing in the comprehensive care of patients with these rare and complex pulmonary conditions.

Areas of Research Interest:

Dr. Shifren’s research focuses on industry-sponsored clinical trials of novel therapeutic agents for interstitial lung diseases and the genetic epidemiology of fibrotic lung diseases.
