Washington University chosen as site for groundbreaking asthma study

Washington University School of Medicine was recently chosen as a site for the “Improving the Quality of Care for Asthma Patients at Risk of Exacerbations, i-CARE” study by Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Under the leadership of Drs. Kaharu Sumino and James Krings, Washington University will be an initial feasibility site with investigators from Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University and the University of Wisconsin.  The iCARE study will compare two known effective therapies (SMART and PARTICS) for asthma.
