WashU PCCM Researchers Awarded Rosenau Family Research Foundation Grant for Cystic Fibrosis Project

St. Louis, MO – Congratulations to Tom Brett, PhD, and Jennifer Alexander-Brett, MD, PhD, in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, on receiving a three-year grant from the Rosenau Family Research Foundation. Their project, “Investigating the role of a novel TMEM16A isoform in cystic fibrosis,” will explore new mechanisms of CF lung disease and potential therapeutic targets.

The Rosenau Family Research Foundation, established to improve the lives of patients with Krabbe disease and cystic fibrosis, funds high-impact projects that advance basic and translational science. This is a well deserved award for Dr. Brett and Dr. Alexander-Brett. It underscores the importance of innovative research in CF, particularly in areas beyond CFTR correction, and provides vital support for developing new strategies to improve patient outcomes.
