Inpatient Consult Service

The consultation and bronchoscopy service at Barnes Hospital involves a broad range of patients with pulmonary disease, including immunocompromised hosts and transplant recipients. In Fiscal Year 2007, more than 1,000 inpatient consultations and more than 1000 bronchoscopies were performed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital South by the Pulmonary and Critical Care Division.

The bronchoscopy laboratories have excellent support with fluoroscopy, full video capability and three full-time technicians who provide support six days a week and on-call nights and Sundays.
