Monday

Lung Biology Conference (Weekly)
Research fellows and faculty present results of their ongoing research or review recent research developments.

Wednesday

Pulmonary Pathology (Monthly)

Thoracic Oncology Conference (Weekly)

Thursday

Asthma/Allergy Conference (Monthly)
Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Grand Rounds (Weekly)
Divisional conference focusing on clinical and research topics with frequent guest speakers.

Interdisciplinary Chest Radiology Conference (Weekly)

Internal Medicine Grand Rounds (Weekly)

Friday

Case Presentation Conference (First and Third Fridays).
Fellows and students present interesting pulmonary cases and briefly review relevant literature.

Journal Club (Second Fridays).
Fellows review pertinent pulmonary articles.

Physiology in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (Fourth Fridays)
A series of didactic physiology lectures are given.

Pharmacology (Fifth Fridays)
Conference is given by a registered pharmacist.

Lung Transplant Conference (Bi-monthly)
Review of topics pertinent to lung transplantation

Radiology Conference at VA Medical Center (Weekly)

Other Conferences and Seminars

Washington University Medical Center has a varied and vigorous seminar schedule, with two to five daily seminars presented by visiting and local scientists and clinical investigators. In addition, symposia frequently are organized around specific themes. Schedules for seminars and symposia are published biweekly by the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences.

FLANCE LECTURESHIP

Each year, the Division invites a distinguished pulmonary physician as its I. Jerome Flance Visiting Lecturer in honor of Dr. Flance, an esteemed member of the pulmonary community at Washington University Medical Center. The Flance lecturer participates in two days of activities with students, house staff, fellows and faculty, culminating in the Flance lecture. Recent Flance lecturers are listed below.
