Research Interests

Therapeutics and non-invasive monitoring in pulmonary hypertension, respiratory viruses in lung transplantation.

Biographical Sketch

Research

My research is patient-oriented and primarily involves patients with pulmonary vascular disorders.

I am (local) principal investigator for several multi-centered clinical investigations for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. I am also studying non-invasive techniques for the longitudinal assessment of patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension, including application of a bed-side Doppler machine for rapid flow (cardiac output) assessment.

I am interested in the application of multi-planar computed tomography (CT) for the initial diagnosis and follow-up of pulmonary arterio-venous malformations in patients with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia.
